Family Weekend is a great opportunity to see Texas State. Each year we plan a family weekend to bring our families and students together for a fun weekend.

If your student has recently been admitted to Texas State, consider attending New Student Orientation with them. Through the New Student Orientation process, you'll learn more about all of the resources Texas State has to offer.

The Family Association is dedicated to helping Bobcat Families feel connected to their student’s experience at Texas State. The Family Association seeks to promote and sponsor programs that meet families’ needs and involve them in the Texas State community.

The Bobcat Family Portal is customized to include information relevant to you. You set the frequency of how often you would like e-newsletters, as well as the ability to log in at any time to access on-demand information.

Get timely updates about what's happening at Texas State through our Parent and Family Relations Facebook page. We will provide you with information on deadlines, campus events, and university news. 

Call, text, and email your student to check in on how they are doing and how their classes are going. Come to campus to visit your student and see what Texas State is all about!
